How I celebrated 2015?

20 mins left to new year Celebrating just as normally as usual... dad went to cell group and at this rate aaron at his friend's party i am at home , cooked simple dinner and ate with Inday watched live KBS drama award had a glass of wine , chocolate, cupcake and plain water now, cherishing the silent moment at home i am both nervous and excited about the new year to list down what I did this year, it's beyong comprehension ...from TFM, to my transition in KK I believe 2016 will be a good year. this is the moment i am actually waiting for the precious time of 2015 to end while neighbours are cheering, the silent moment seem to be bearable now. I cheer to joy and comfort. 15 minutes counting...what other thoughts do i have about 2015 all I know is that no more thinking back, no more ifs but a brand new start... all I pray for God to continue to reveal to me about Him and life. Never thought, that I would be ending this year without job, no salary, n...

26 December 2016 - Quiet down thoughts

Just this morning i wrote my thoughts down. And now, I feel like writing about how the day ends with highlights. Just as I was about to write this before I go to sleep, I received two great news from my bestie in Japan. I will write about them here. But first, here are some highlight of the day Desire: I always wanted to explore the few shops in Segama. It is a block of shops where craft and tailor shops are. These shops where there before I was born. D.c, Leton, Jelip and Starlight are where people get their craft materials. I explored to see the differences between these shops. I still like Jelip as it has everything, but it was closed today. I think selling trend targets Malay wedding material. It was Saturday, I tried out new recipe called Peking Pork Chop from rasamalaysia.com. The sauce was so rich in vinegar and sugar. Then, I had a sudden challenge received for a last minute chore of making 24 cupcakes in 1 hour. It was also an abrupt creativity to include Lindt chocolate...

Post Christmas: 26 Dec to 31 December.- Morning thoughts

Friday - 26 Dec 2015 9.11 am I wake up at 7 am (no fail every day) and did not really get out of my bed until 7.30 am. The laziness made me skipped my morning walk. I knew I needed it when I feel my knees cracking the night before. I still yet started on 7 min workout. After updating my calendar and journal, it was a good way to reminisce about Christmas celebration this time. I like that there is a slow closure to Christmas with last wishes to friends in America through Facebook. Everyone had their special way of enjoying the season. I saw friends with their kids by a real Christmas fur tree. It must be nice to smell the tree by your side. That was sweet. Now, I dread thinking about what to do for the day. It is a question I ask myself every morning. Often, there is no answer and I let the days flow without expectation and when the day ends, I feel satisfied and I enjoyed my time. A friend asked me about why I did not stay in US when I expressed that I have plans to visit NY n...

Splash Splash Love - heartmelting 2 episodes drama

Image
Not many drama really attracts me now because either too long or too monotonous plot. This one, it involves time-slip, two eras, and romance between a king and a school girl. The story is really interesting...of all things,  i love the innocent love between those two main characters. http://myasiantv.se/drama/splash-splash-love/episode-2/ My favourite scene is the last part where both met under the rain in an autumn (foliage) setting. It is beautiful. <3 <3 <3

The wall is finally broken

Don't let feelings be bottled up. Meeting Cai Yu help to break the bubble which had enveloped me for weeks. I was the one who had created the wall around me. I had not really learned to enjoy my life in KK until the wall was broken today. I confessed to her about how I felt with life now. I let the strangeness strangle my freedom to live happily here. I let it choke me and the pretence could not hold it longer. I finally acknowledge that life is such that laid back and enjoyable here in KK. I finally learn to accept that. Surely it is not fair to compare life here and in KL. They don't deserve the comparison. I will learn to accept and today I did it,  I learn to accept the pattern of my life. Study,  window shopping, hobbies and outing with friends. Things are just the same but activities are never the same because we are at different stage of life. My life is learning how to survive time as an adult and not as a childhood. I had hold on to memories of the past... which t...

Mockingjay Movie Part 2

The way it end is not sudden either it's surprising. Although the main actor had a happy ending but it was filled with grief and morose. I could understand that feeling. You won't see peace the same way as before after you have been through or seem the toughest time in life. Everything become so calm that it is annoying or disturbing to the thought.  In those silent and quietness,  you only remember the cries of the pain in the head. When those thoughts come,  only you learn to appreciate real or the actual peace. You don't need to move about or be loud laughter in order to enjoy the meaning of peace. It is not carefree but being in the presence. I like how this movie end. It has been around for past 3 years and so did my life's grief chapter ended this year. The memories are still there to be remembered despite the stillness. After this skit of watching movie alone on Wednesday night,  it is not worth it. I made lies to get away from making my dad worry about my o...

Fall in Love with Kota Kinabalu: Bukit Padang Jogging Track

Image
The view up on the highest climb at the the park. It is also where you can catch a good sunset view. I woke up to another bright and sunny start of the new week. I felt a sudden determination to go for a walk at Bukit Padang after waking up at 6.30 am in the morning, 15 minutes just after the sunrise. There was rain last night and so the morning dew breeze was strong to the nose and skin. I quickly change and drove out to this place , 5 minutes is all it takes to get me up and walking. I pondered about the fact that I could do this , is a big blessing. Just as everything else under the rays of light, all things look new. I had an imagination that the little trees and insects waved me with a greeting of 'Good morning!' For more information, there are three tracks which you can choose to take when hiking up the hill. The common one is 2 kms walk around the pond. The other one is a half way walk up the hill and down again at a staircase. Another one is all the way up to ...

Angry Bite - Do you know it is a Sabah local snack?

Image
Memory playback... Hustle bustle of night market at Phillipines market in town.  [ ...in the midst of choosing local snacks] Friend 1: Maybe you can try the Angry Bite. Me: What is Angry Bird? The salesman took out a container of what to be...the snacks I usually see in triangle shapes. Me: Oh...I had no idea this is called Angry Bite!  ( staring at the word Bite)  Silently thinking gosh people really has way with words here in Sabah. This event really got me thinking...how little I know about Sabah or how narrow minded I am to local snacks.  The thing is.... ...when it comes to buying, I get stress up about making choices. I can't come to conclusion of how many I actually need and how many I should buy extra for just in case moments. Being a baker, I could easily look down on simple snacks and aim for better value or more ingredients products, and try to get the best price for those items. But today,  ...being with fr...

◄ NAGOYA / JAPAN ✖ WHAT TO SEE

Image
Emiko, my current English student, who is from Nagoya, got me interested in finding out her place of origin. I like this video that gives a snapshot of the popular areas in Nagoya for tourist. Seeing the similarities of the experience I had in Tokyo couple months ago, it is a comfort to learn another new city of Japan. Travelling to Japan is expensive. Trying to imagine Emiko's life in Nagoya, I can understand why Emiko loves the country side. Her place is of a concrete jungle. That's why coming to a small city like Kota Kinabalu, brings her peace. It is a feeling I totally understand when I was standing in the middle of the crowds of Tokyo. The city is always a buzz and noisy.

Overdue : Travel Update

22 Nov,  Sunday -  Flying in Fuzhou Shenzhen airport prize is pricey.  A 6 foot inches subway cost Y18 (rm14) for just a bun.  All flight rides were smooth and on time. Thank God for the safe journey. I enjoyed Xiamen Airline- it's level is like Malindo but with more professionalism. I saw a steward who looked like Ji Sung,  a famous Korean actor. I like the stewardess uniform. Dinner with Rain's relative and family was the highlight of the day. I tried a bloody shell. I don't dare to try more. I had two balls of noodle and it was filled with seashell,  fishball,  pork and eggs. Today The view through the window of the room I stayed for the night. Clusters of apartment as a village. It is a big community. I wish Malaysia has this kind of landscape apartment. Rain is still sleeping at this hour,  7 am. She is experiencing jet lag from a long distance flight between US and China. I look forward walking in the neighbourhood ...

Boredom

No one likes boredom. Most would want to try find something to fill the void. Boredom becomes part of my life now. It engraves every minute of the day. It is difficult to endure the silence because the inner voice saying ' You should be doing something better than being here.' It is an irony. I personally made this decision to return to where I once started, the time before my journey of the world commenced. It has never been a regret to have returned because I placed my family as my priority. In life, I learned it is impossible to place everything in number 1. My career is third in the line after academic. Still, the sense of existence still take place over the value of money.  I decided to try if how hard it is to be in this place, as many has claimed that, career is the most important to life's survival. I proof it by turning down a promoted job offer , for the first time as well, not wanting to be dictated by the work demands, chose livelihood and peace of li...
